Ara Simonian has been shaping the sound of underground dance music for three decades.

His journey began in the mid-80s, DJing local parties in Los Angeles with his brother Reneh, before exploding onto the global scene in the 90s as one half of Sweet Drop. Their breakout single "Acid People" on Strictly Rhythm became an international club anthem, paving the way for a string of releases on Groovilicious Records.

In 2001, Warner Bros. tapped him for official remixes of Depeche Mode's "I Feel Loved" and New Order's "Crystal." His remix catalog expanded with bold reworks of Pink Floyd and the disco classic "Walk the Night" by the Skatt Brothers.

Now, with the launch of NovaHaus Records, Ara is writing a brand-new chapter — dedicated to forward-thinking house and techno. With his roots in the golden age of house and his eyes locked firmly on the future, Ara Simonian is back.
